Kaleidoscope Crown, written by playwright Ashleigh Akilah Rucker, tells the inspiring story of a young girl who awakens to a shocking new ability: with every new emotion, her hair transforms into vibrant, multicolor tresses. This extraordinary change disrupts the uniformity and peace of her small traditional village, prompting both her and those around her to confront their perceptions of beauty and individuality. Bring on summer! With 300+ full and half-day summer camps and programs at convenient Parkway and Rockwood locations, Community Ed has everything you need for a summer of FUN! Make a splash, unleash your imagination, discover nature, get out and play, express yourself and go on new adventures in aquatics, art, enrichment, outdoor ed, sports and more. With eleven weeks of summer program offerings to choose from, kids can experience something new each week. Community Ed programs are led by expert, caring instructors with a focus on safety and fun. Many of our half-day camps can be combined to make a full day of fun, and include extended care options. You do not have to be a Parkway or Rockwood resident to participate in Community Ed summer programs.

Great Rivers Greenway has teamed up with the Saint Louis Zoo for the fifth annual free greenway scavenger hunt. Community members are invited to look for the many varieties of native bees that you can see buzzing around greenways and search for special hidden souvenirs you can take home! Starting August 1, BEE on the lookout for hand-painted bee rocks along all 140+ miles of greenways. Saint Louis Zoo ALIVE (Active Leaders in Volunteer Education) teen volunteers hand-painted hundreds of rocks like three different species of bees found along the greenways: American bumblebee, brown-belted bumblebee and two-spotted bumblebee, plus a few of the endangered rusty patched bumblebee. Featuring some of the most talented canines in the country, the Purina Incredible Dog Team consists of more than 20 remarkably gifted dogs and two trainers who entertain audiences with extraordinary feats of athleticism and skill. Spectators can watch the team demonstrate a variety of canine sports while dogs of different breeds fly through the air to catch a flying disc, leap over a high jump, and maneuver through a series of obstacles in an agility course.
