Middle Schoolers

Families with children ages 3-10 are invited to have a nature adventure. Each class includes activities for your family to learn together about the plants and animals at Shaw Nature Reserve.

Fishing is not normally allowed at Shaw Nature Reserve, but the Missouri Department of Conservation is teaming up with the Reserve to provide a special fishing experience for first-time or young anglers.

Visit the Saint Louis Zoo for Bear Awarness Weekend and learn about the ways you can help save Sun Bears, Andean Bear and Grizzly Bear species, participate in a a bear scavenger hunt and lots more. 

Discover how music and imagination work hand in hand as the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra takes you and your kids on a journey through make-believe. Hear family favorites by the legendary John Williams, including Superman March, E.T. Flying Theme and much more. Plus, visit the instrument playground for photos with a princess and superhero! 

At the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie on Saturday, March 24, kids 13 and under can hunt for thousands of candy-filled eggs hidden throughout the park’s 25-acre facility. The Youth Activity Park Easter Egg Hunt features a visit from the Easter Bunny, as well as face painting, games, activities and more. Registration is required.

Calling all families of middle schoolers! Learn the physics of behind sharks, cheetahs, electric fish and more at this free Family Fun Day. You'll learn about the physics of all of these super animals through experiments and hands-on activities. 

The Poke-HUNT starts with a live Pokémon show in the World Bird Sanctuary amphitheater featuring Braviary, Pidgeot, Mandibuzz, Noctowl, Rowlet, Talonflame and Merkrow, followed by a Poke-HUNT where kids will be able to search the grounds for their very own Pokémon characters that they can keep.
