At Miriam School, students with complex learning differences are supported and celebrated as they grow academically, socially and emotionally. Miriam provides a tailored educational experience for learners in grades K-12 who have not found success in traditional classroom settings. Students’ challenges may stem from specific learning disabilities (i.e. dyslexia or dysgraphia), ADHD, level 1 autism, sensory processing disorder, anxiety, or speech and language disorders.

Did you know that February 14th is St. Louis’s birthday? The Missouri History Museum has created a new festival to celebrate, featuring activities, food, music, and fun. Families will want to attend on Saturday when the Red and Black Brass Band kicks off the festivities at 10 a.m. Then head to the History Clubhouse for storytelling at 10:30 a.m. This program is trilingual so everyone can participate—offered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

All-day activities include playing classic backyard games like washers and cornhole, exploring the sensory table to touch artifacts that represent St. Louis and its symbols, and crafts like making birthday hats and custom flags for your neighborhood. Don’t miss the special pop-up food vendors for lunch, and browse the wares of local makers for gifts and souvenirs of the day.
