The Community Music School of Webster University (CMS) proudly celebrates 100 years of exceptional music education for all ages and skill levels. Since 1925, CMS has enriched the St. Louis community through outstanding programs, and this summer is no exception. For the youngest enthusiasts, the cherished Kindermusik® Family Camp offers children aged 6 months to 5 years joyful weekly sessions of singing, playing, and music-making, held in Webster Groves and Chesterfield. Older children and teens can participate in enriching camps like String Orchestra Camp, Chamber Music Encounter, Band Camp, Flute Camp, Saxophone Camp, Popular Songwriting, and Summer Composition Intensive. New for this year is our Summer Jazz Choir for age 14 through adults and we continue to partner with Missouri Chamber Music Festival (MOCM) for the Adult Chamber Music Intensive. Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
Read to a friendly therapy dog from DUO Dogs, Inc. After the story, the dog's handler will answer any questions kids have about therapy dogs, pet care and more. For ages 3-11. Registration is required for this free program.
