YouTube and Snapchat, two of the most popular apps among middle and high school students, pose understandable concerns for parents. From graphic content to stranger danger, from the Momo hoax to the Tide Pod challenge, and countless stories linking social media use to depression, both apps can seem like minefields of potential danger. This free presentation will answer those questions, and help parents better communicate with their teens about social media. 

Does your child have a science fair coming up? Science Fair Prep Class gives them the tools they need to independently complete their Science Fair Project. Let by expert instructors, students will learn how to plan, organize and present an exhibit on their own. 

On the first Friday of each month, kids are invited to spend some FREE time getting fit at Fit Kid: Free Kid at The Magic House. Kids 12 and under who complete a fitness challenge upon arrival can earn free admission! Each Fit Kid: Free Kid features a different activity. This month: Irish Dance.

Kids ages 5-12 will have a blast at Kids Night out at the Mid-County Y. This fun-filled night includes games, arts & crafts, swimming, pizza and lots more.

Slimers of all ages are invited to The Magic House for a day of hands-on slime experiences at the The Magic House STEAM Center (Kirkwood) or at The Magic House, MADE for Kids (5127 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, 63108). Kids will learn creative slime recipes and create the fluffiest, gooiest or stringiest slime masterpiece to take home for continued slime fun!

Families are invited to enjoy the brand new Goldfish Swim School, a learn-to-swim facility offering swim lessons for kids ages 4 months through 12 years old. All are invited to participate in Open Family Swim (RSVP required), crafts, a balloon artist, face painting, games and lots more at this free Open House.

The Wilson School's January Open House is an opportunity for parents to see the school's spaces, talk with teachers, explore student exhibits, and learn what sets Wilson apart.
