Spring Wild Flower Hike for Families

Explore the Phantom Forest and Bittersweet Woods Conservation areas during this spring hike for all ages. You'll enjoy the freedom and fun of nature while bonding with your kids during these themed hikes, sponsored by the City of Des Peres and the Lodge of Des Peres. 

During this hike, you'll learn how animals in the forest hide in plain site.

Clay Play at The Magic House

Kids can get behind the wheel as ceramicists from Krueger Pottery demonstrate the art of working with clay. Kids will coil, pinch and throw their own earthenware creations. Part of the Visiting Artist Series.

Saturday, May 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Free with regular admission.

Play & Ride at the St. Louis Carousel in Faust Park

Enjoy a fun play time at the Carousel in Faust Park. Kids ages 5 and under, along with a parent or caregiver, can enjoy the play room and rides on the carousel between 10 a.m. and noon. Play & Ride dates are subject to change, so please check the full listing before you plan to go.

Safe Kids Day Festival

Visit the West County Safety House during the Safe Kids Day Festival for free bike fittings (and helmets while supplies last) and let your kids take ride to Safety Town. 

The festival also includes free food, games and prizes, and a raffle of dinner with the West County EMS and Fire crew.
