Experience both at the International Cheese, Wine & Canine Festival Sept. 28 at Purina Farms. Get up close and personal with more than 40 different breeds of dogs originating from all parts of the world while sampling an international smorgasbord of wines, cheeses, flatbread pizzas and desserts. This is the perfect getaway for your next date night!
You'll enjoy tasty tidbits of food and knowledge as you learn about different breeds' temperaments, abilities, training, ownership and handling while meeting dogs of various breeds, including Austrailian Shepherds, Kookerhondijes, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Whippets, Dachshunds, Samoyeds, Saint Bernards, Corgis, Dobermans and Borzois. You can also cast your vote at the People's Choice Best of Breed Booth.
Entertainment includes amazing cultural dancing, including hula dancing and German dancing, and Augusta winery and Montelle winery will host a special wine bar in the North American section of the event and offer samples of their local wines.
Taster tickets are for guests 21+ only. All event guests must be at least 18. No outside dogs will be allowed. Taster tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers (non-drikers) are $25.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
Explore songs, finger plays, music and more during this Music & Movement class for ages 0-6. Some sessions are held in person at various branches of the St. Louis County Library. Some sessions are virtual.
Hear stories in Spanish read by native Spanish-speaking storytellers at the Missouri History Museum's Cuentos En El Museo - Storytelling in the Museum in Spanish. In these free storytelling sessions, the museum's youngest visitors explore traditional and contemporary storybooks and do hands-on crafts.
