Learn about the science behind NASA's New Horizons spacecraft as it probes the dwarf planet and its moons at the August First Friday at the Saint Louis Science Center. First Friday will feature free hands-on activities, presentations, sci-fi trivia, sci-fi films and more.
After a nine-year journey, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft reached the dwarf planet Pluto on July 14. See highlights of the mission's findings including images, compositional maps, atmospheric measurements and more. Explore Pluto and the surrounding space environment through special presentations, demonstrations and activities with St. Louis area techies, developers and scientists.
Most First Friday activities are recommended for audiences 16 years and older. Public telescope viewings and free 7 p.m. Planetarium shows are recommended for all ages.
