Have you squinted in the sun and wondered what is really going on up there? Learn about the sun's surface, solar flares, sun spots and more during Solar Saturday at the Planetarium.
At Solar Saturday, you'll take a look at the sun, safely, through special scopes with the St. Louis Astronomical Society and staff from the Saint Louis Science Center, the Planetarium and other community partners. Weather permitting, you'll see a fantastic display of the sun's surface. Astronomy demonstrations will also take place in the Planetarium lobby.
Solar Saturday takes place at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium on January 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free.
