Every classroom has them — disruptive and distracting students who interrupt their own and others' learning with impulsivity, attention-seeking comments or ongoing teacher power struggles. This workshop explores the brain science behind self-regulation and what motivates the behavior of these students. Walk away with practical strategies to help reach and teach these students with positive messages and a supportive classroom environment. Led by Peppy Howard-Willms, M.Ed., BCBA, Behavior Supports Supervisor at Miriam School.
6:30 to 8 p.m. at Miriam School in Webster Groves. The seminar is free, but registration is required. Open to parents and educators of students with complex learning disabilities.
