The Wilson School presents Dr. Debra Harris as part of its ongoing speaker series for parents. Harris will provide insight into "Difficult Conversations with Your Child: Knowing When to Talk and What to Say in a Changing World."
Many parents struggle with how to talk to their children about tragic events in the world. We often want to have just the right words. Thankfully, all good talks with our children begin with listening and understanding what your child is ready to understand at their age. This talk is an opportunity for parents to hear information on what children of different ages understand about events in the media and a chance to interactively discuss targeted strategies to help parents deal with these challenges, based on questions from the audience.
This event is free and open to the public. However, reservations are requested. Send an email to speakerseries@wilsonschool.com.
Childcare is not available for this event.
