
Looks to be sunny and in the 40s this weekend – outstanding weather for late-February in St. Louis. It's also outstanding weather for the last weekend of the outdoor ice skating season at Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park.
Steinberg is the largest outdoor ice skating rink in the Midwest, offering public skating every day during the winter months.
Get inspired by the Vancouver Olympic games and head to the park with the kids for the last skate of the season. Grab some lunch at the Snowflake Café, which offers a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, snacks, burgers, soda, hot chocolate and even beer and wine.
Skating is $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for kids 12 and under plus a $3.00 skate rental fee. Group rates are available. The rink is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays in season.
Steinberg closes for the season on March 1, but reopens in May as a sand volleyball court for the summer.
Steinberg Skating Rink is located at 400 Jefferson Drive in Forest Park.

Santa's Reindeer have been busy hiding candy canes in Kirkwood Park. Some have prizes attached to them. Kids can come early to decorate a hunting bag. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. The hunt starts at 10 a.m., and after the hunt, kids can take pictures with Santa. Pre-registration is required.
