Visit City Museum August 4-17, bring school supplies to donate, and get discounted admission! That's the idea behind City Museum's Stuff the Bus campaign. As home to the world's largest pencil, City Museum is the perfect place to stage a school supply drive.
Participation is easy. Guests are invited to "Stuff the Bus" with school supplies – referring to the iconic school bus that dangles from City Museum's rooftop.
All supplies will be donated to KidSmart, an organization that helps equip students with needed supplies in more than 160 St. Louis-area schools.
Everyone who donates five supplies will save $5 on general admission to City Museum.
The most common classroom needs include spiral notebooks, pencils, markers, crayons (24 ct.), and glue sticks, but other common supplies are appreciated too.
Guests must bring the supplies to City Museum to receive the discount. The discount is applied to one-day general admission tickets, with one discount per 5 school supplies donated. (New school supplies only.)
During the school supply drive dates, teachers, school janitorial staff, and school administrative staff will receive free general admission to City Museum with their school IDs.
KidSmart’s “Push for Pencils, Push for Change” campaign has made a tremendous difference for St. Louis students by providing free essential school supplies to thousands of students, empowering them to thrive in school and beyond.
Donations ensure that children arrive at school with confidence and the tools they need to learn.
