With the help of ten truckloads of sand, The Magic House's backyard has been transformed once again into a beachfront park for the popular Sandcastle Beach exhibit.
World-champion sand sculptor Dan Belcher shares tips and techniques on the art of sand sculpting at the site of his latest masterpiece, the 75-ton sandcastle on the shores of Sandcastle Beach at The Magic House.
Kids can learn how to create their own "sandsational" sculpture using only sand and water.
June 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and June 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free with regular admission.
The Magic House is giving away the beach! The exhibit Sandcastle Beach is leaving for the summer and on June 28, famillies are invited to take some of the beach home with them. Anyone intererested in filling their sandboxes or backyard should bring shovels, bags, buckets and trucks to get digging. With about 200 tons of sand, there is plenty to go around.

Kids can work on existing gym skills, learn new skills or just play around during Open Gym at Miss Kelly's Gym in Creve Coeur.
This 7,000 square-foot makerspace is designed for kids to play, explore create and collaborate. Visitors have a chance to "paint" on the digital easel, use a pottery wheel to create a clay creation, design for a 3D printer, launch air rockets, build robots and circuits and more!
Storytelling in the Museum is an in-person storytelling event happening at 10:30 a.m. at the Missouri History Museum. This event, perfect for the preschool set, features engaging stories with themes like Grandparents Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, and mealtime. Storytelling in the Museum is free.
