free events for kids in St. Louis

Young artists and their families are invited to complete a fun craft activity in the galleries at the St. Louis Artists Guild. This program is designed for Pre-K to elementary-age children and their families.

Nine PBS invites families to attend a free sneak peek of the new PBS Kids series Phoebe & Jay, a joyful, curiosity-sparking show designed especially for young learners.

Storytime in the Commons is back for another season of fun character visits and outdoor storytimes. At this storytime, explore the fascinating world of science and nature. At Storytime in the Commons: Be My Neighbor Day, kids will learn about being a caring neighbor, meet neighborhood helpers from the St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis Fire Department, and have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina from the PBS Kids series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

Stop into Ballpark Village for Family Fun Day, a carnival-style family festival with Fredbird, the Bubble Bus, rides, huge inflatables, rock climbing wall and lots of fun activities. 

Kids can learn about bike safety from a bike-certified park ranger, ride the safety course and pick up a free bike helmet. 

Bring your preschooler for a free story time and playtime at the Ferguson Library sponsored by the Ferguson-Florissant Parents as Teachers. 

Kids can get creative as they build blanket forts, enjoy face painting, listen to folk tales, watch puppet shows, visit the Magical Musical Forest and lots more at this free festival, which hopes to harness the creativity of many to build an interactive playscape the whole family can enjoy.
