Join The Magic House for Clay Play Day featuring all things ceramic! The Magic House staff artists will share their ceramic skills as they perform pottery wheel demonstrations throughout the day. Visitors are invited to get their hands messy by creating their own masterpiece using hand building techniques in the museum's Art Studio.

Kids and teens ages 8-15 can learn the basics of using a potter's wheel to make functional clay pieces and non-functional sculptures in Clay Class: Wheel Throwing at Laumeier Sculpture Park. They'll study the fundamental techniques of wedging, centering and raising cylindrical forms such as bowls, cups and vases.
Kids can spend MLK Day creating open-ended art projects at Yucandu Art Studio at the MLK Day Winter Workshop. This workshop, for kids in kindergarten through grade 5, includes all the supplies crafters will need to let their imaginations soar!
The Magic House is offering the opportunity to enjoy private playtime in a special exhibit area of The Magic House or MADE for Kids before opening to the public! You choose the location and up to 10 family members or friends to enjoy your private morning. Stay and play after in the rest of the museum. Reservations must be made in advance.

The Saint Louis Science Center has expanded its Preschool Science Series to include new offerings for different age groups of young scientists. Storybook STEM is for ages 3 to 5.
Young visitors and their families are invited to the Energy Stage to enjoy interactive read-alouds of science-themed picture books. Story times are followed by a short demonstration or discussion connected to the book's main concepts.

At this special presentation, both you and your child will get a brief overview of what is expected before your child even enters the classroom. You'll also receive a free backpack and school supplies. Registration is required.
Little Red Hen Play Dates are a wonderful way for children ages 0-6 and their caregivers to experience the magic of Waldorf Early Childhood Education. You and your child will bake bread — a weekly occurrence in the Waldorf School's Early Childhood Program — listen to stories; join in a circle time filled with songs, rhymes, and movement; and explore the outdoors in our mini meadow.
Read to a friendly therapy dog from DUO Dogs, Inc. After the story, the dog's handler will answer any questions kids have about therapy dogs, pet care and more. For ages 3-11. Registration is required for this free program.
