Dig into the current research in seismology, geology and paleontology, see a 66 million year old dinosaur footprint, learn about Missouri's Supervolcano and lots more during Rock, Fossil, Quake: A Celebration of Earth Science, a free event at the Saint Louis Science Center.

Learn about monarch caterpillars as they prepare to transform into beautiful butterflies during this parent-child workshop. 

Kids in fifth grade and up, along with their parents, can spend an afternoon learning about the heart and cardiovascular system in this hands-on experience with anatomy and physiology experts from Adventures in Medicine and Science from Washington University.

Catch 'em all and try to be the best there ever was during Pokemon Go Night at the Saint Louis Science Center. There will be amazing science demonstrations, Pokemon-themed food and drink specials and more.

The Science Center will be open late 'til 8 with lure modules set at their Pokestops all night. Show your team pride by battling for control of the gym located at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium. The Planetarium will be lighted in the team color of whoever controls it at the end of the night! Don't miss the demos from local augmented reality and virtual reality developers. 

Preschoolers will enjoy playing instruments, singing and dancing at this musical storytime.

Kids can learn about the medical field, wear face masks and gloves and learn about what surgeons do in this free workshop.

Presented by Little Medical School of St. Louis, in this workshop, kids ages 7 to 10 will learn to suture and tie knots. Registration is required.

Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Louis County Library, Jamestown Bluffs Branch.

St. Louis Public School and the Urban League of Metro St. Louis present the annual Back to School and Community Enpowerment Festival, free for all city residents. 

This year's festival features a main stage on the arena floor where student performances and academic showcases will take place. Free school supplies will be given away while supplies last and a free lunch will also be served.
