Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Join the Missouri Historical Society for a free, family-friendly outdoor festival featuring live entertainment, spoken word, a film screening, and much more.

You'll find quality used fiction, non-fiction, biographies, cook books, self-help and more. There will be more than 20,000 used books for purchase. Admission is free and books are 50 cents each.

Have some family fun in The Loop at the North & South Block Party. The celebration includes live music, free activities for kids, pony rides, food trucks and more.

Join naturalists from the World Bird Sanctuary for a 25-minute special flying demonstration featuring some of the most talented "athletes" of the animal kingdom.  

The Academy of Nature and Wildlife Arts invites ages 3 and up to come paint outdoors in Queeny Park. Come out and see professional artists at work, get inspired, and let youthful creativity flow onto a canvas. Families will also enjoy live music and food trucks, including Blue Fired Pizza and Kona Shaved Ice. The event is free and all materials will be provided. 

At this health, safety and fitness-focused event, kids ages 5-10 can run a timed, obstacle course-style race and compete in simulated firefighting skills to see if they can meet the Healthy Heroes Firefighter Challenge.
