This is your family's chance to experience a great family adventure while you learn
about everything from birds to butterflies, crickets to katydids! Participants in BioBlitz will join teams of scientists and skilled naturalists to study biodiversity in a fun, hands-on way.
Middle schoolers (ages 12 to 15) can enjoy a mind-bending night of trivia fun! Trivia Funhouse will host seven rounds of trivia for middle schoolers and their friends to compete for prizes. Teams can enter the patriotic-themed "best dressed" competition by decorating themselves and their table in the most red, white and blue gear. The team with the best dressed table will win extra mulligans to increase their chance of victory.
At the Lodge of Des Peres. Doors open at 6:15 and trivia starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $120 for a table of 8. Advanced registration is required.
Helping children stress less is difficult in today's high pressure world. Dr. Dan Weinstein will review the prevalence, triggers, and causal factors of the ever-increasing issue of clinical anxiety in children and adolescents. Co-occurence of anxiety with other disorders, including ADHD and depression, will also be discussed.
Participants will leave with practical recommendations about effective treatments for anxious students both at home and in the classroom.

A Bricks 4 Kidz Night Out is a high-energy evening full of LEGO entertainment
for kids in grades K-5. The theme of this Night Out is remote control mania. Kids will love to see their creations in motion using LEGO wireless remote controls.
They'll use fascinating and challenging LEGO conponents to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines and more. We'll also do crafts and provide pizza and drinks.
Kids ages 6 and up can learn more about the interesting lives of these eight-legged hunters. If possible, this program will include a spider hike, so please dress for the weather.
Preschoolers will learn about wooly worms through stories, crafts and other activities at the Wooly Worm Festival. They'll also take a short hike to look for wooly worms and other wildlife.
If you walk near woods or trees, the mammals you are most likely to see are squirrels. They are fun to watch as they run and jump and play, flick their bushy tails, chase each other up trees, bury acorns in the fall and dig them up again to eat in winter. But in spite of the playfulness that makes squirrels fun to watch, they face the same challenges in their lives as any other kind of wildlife. Learn more about these lively little mammals as we celebrate their lives with activities and crafts.
Stop in and have some fun in the indoor pool at the Lodge of Des Peres with your little one at this drop-in swim time for kids up to age 6. No pre-registration is needed; Water Waddlers is open to residents and non-residents of Des Peres.
Science Tots is designed for children ages 18 to 36 months. The class provides opportunities to support brain development and learning. Toddlers and their grown-ups will explore STEM topics through songs, stories, hands-on exploration and play.
LEGO Club at the St. Louis County Library is a free opportunity for kids to gather and have fun building with LEGO bricks. LEGOs are provided.
Visit The Magic House for Toddler Time, a special early-morning program for toddlers. Children age 1-4 can take part in exhibits and exclusive interactive activities designed just for little ones. There are new themes every week!
Join Ms. Amanda in the Makerspace at the Edwardsville Children's Museum for a fun, lively Dance Party. The toddler-friendly tunes will accompany free play time and musical instrument exploration.
