Your family can learn how to make maple sugar in your own backyard. Visit the sugar bush to see the tapped trees, collect the sap and learn how to boil the sap down like Colonial Americans. You'll also sample the delicious homemade syrup, sugar on snow taffy and pure maple sugar. All ages are welcome to this free event.

While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
