All ages are invited to participate in this annual fundraiser run/walk that helps support the conservation programs at the Saint Louis Zoo.
St. Louis Children's Hospital Make Tracks for the Zoo is a 5K and one-mile race that all ages can participate in. Held on the Zoo grounds, the event offers a 5K race or walk on a 3/1 mile loop, a half-mile kids' run for ages 7-12, a 1/4-mile kids' run for ages 6 and under, and a one-mile race for kids 12 and under. An award ceremony after the race will recognize overall winners and first place in each bracket will be announced. Prizes will also be given for second and third place in each age bracket.
Races kick off at 7:30 a.m., 8:50 a.m., 9 a.m., and 9:10 a.m.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
The Preschool Science Series is an open exploration learning lab for young scientists, ages 18 months to 5 years and their families. Activities are designed around research that shows children learn best through play, inquiry and shared experiences with their parents and caregivers.
