Learn about the majestic wonders of the sky - eagles, owls, falcons, vultures and hawks, at the Masters of the Sky show taking place at the National Great Rivers Museum.
These one-hour programs highlight birds of prey, giving spectators the opportunity to view the birds up close as they soar overhead. Experts will describe the challenges and obstacles these majestic creatures face on their annual migrations. While the rehabilitated birds featured in the show may no longer soar in the wild, they provide an unforgettable opportunity to educate us about their role in the Mississippi River ecosystem.
There will also be craft and activity opportunities for kids, photos with "Eric the Eagle," and free tours of the Melvin Price Locks and Dam where you may see wild eagles from a bird's eye view.
Live bird shows take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both days and the museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 4-12, and free for children 3 and under. At the National Great Rivers Museum in East Alton.
