Visit the Missouri History Museum for a sensory-friendly evening for all attendees with autism and their companions. Enjoy an exhibit tour of the 1904 World’s Fair with specially designed sensory-friendly activities that will engage participants while respecting sensory needs.
The lighting and noise levels in the Museum spaces will be adjusted to create a more inclusive atmosphere to minimize sensory overload and provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience. To avoid large crowds, this program will take place at a time when the Museum is closed to the general public, and only individuals on the autism spectrum and their companions are invited to attend.
There will also be storytelling in the History Clubhouse, musical performances, and interacting with Duo Dogs in the Grand Hall.
Sensory-Friendly Evening is free, but registration is required.
