It's all about the bunny at this wild family event! You're invited to...A Baby Shower!
On April 12, the Wildlife Rescue Center will host Spring Tails! This festival-style event runs from 11am to 4pm.
Come learn about sharing your backyard with nature's bunny bounty, enjoy naturally fun activities for families, and support the wild babies in the rehabilitation facility.
Take an audio tour of the animal care facility. Talk to volunteers and staff that care for orphaned and injured native wild animals. Participate in a Natural Treasures Hunt on our trail and follow clues to amazing nature finds like nests, eggs, and dens. Try your hand at crafts using garden-grown dyes, and games all about wild babies. Take a photo with the one-of-a-kind, naturally-inspired Ambassador Cottontail and meet some professional pet rabbits.
The Wildlife Rescue Center treats over a thousand injured or orphaned wild cottontail rabbits ever year. More than eighty percent of all the patients treated are admitted due to an incident that is directly or indirectly human-caused. Through nature inspired education programs, the Center promotes environmental awareness and encourages the protection of our delicate ecosystems.
This event is free, but reservations are required.
Guest are encouraged to bring along an item from the "Baby Shower Wish List." Check out the wish list at mowildlife.org and reserve your turn for the Nature Treasures Hunt!
