Learn about Rossman School as you observe students and teachers on a typical school day during this Weekday Open House. You'll also enjoy a campus tour led by current parents of Rossman School students, who are eager to answer your questions and share their perspectives of the Rossman School experience.

Based on the internationally acclaimed novel, Bud, Not Buddy, this adventure follows 10-year-old Bud as he sets off on an epic journey to find his father who he believes is leading a traveling jazz band. Set in 1930s America, Bud's odyssey is filled with the joy of finding family and plenty of live jazz music. 

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., kids will discuss their dreams for themselves and their communities, then create inventions to improve the world around us. 

School Daze Camps at Artscope are a great way for kids to spend their days when school is out. Kids will make fabulous art projects, explore Tower Grove Park, play games, sing songs and make new friends. At Northern Lights Camp, kids will explore one of the world's most mysterious phenomenon through light inspired artwork, then try out a very special camera.

Kids can enjoy the puppet show "The Wide-Mounthed Frog" then make a puppet of their own to take home.

Explore the atmosphere on Earth, travel to the end of the rainbow and make a sunset at this fun, free workshop presented by Mad Science of St. Louis. Kids will discover how NASA monitors planetary weather by using their very own Mad Science Meteorological Station too!

Visit the Missouri History Museum to celebrate and reflect upon the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a variety of interactive activities. The first 100 kids in attendance will receive an MLK storybook to take home. 

In this morning mini-camp. held on the day we pause to honor the memory of Dr. King, kids are invited to come and dig into the hidden history all around us through fun, interactive activities and games. From sit-ins and stops on the Underground Railroad to court cases and secret schools – there's so much cool stuff to know!

Kids will discover the different ways animals keep themselves safe at this free workshop presented by the Saint Louis Zoo. This program includes live animals and an open-ended craft. 

Kids can decorate homemade playdough with colors, scents and glitter at this free art workshop for ages 3-5.

Kids can participate in free open play indoors at January-Wabash Park as they prepare for a Noon Year's Eve countdown.

Join the students from the Bertha Knox Gilkey Pamoja Prep Academy as they celebrate Kwanzaa. The celebration includes live music, dancing, art exhibits and more.

End the year with a quiet evening stroll along the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. For all ages.

Who's that hooting it up each evening? It's the owls! Learn what makes owls such effective night time hunters and why they hoot so much in winter.

Take in some eagle viewing at the meeting of the great rivers at Pere Marquette State Park. 

Your family can learn how to make maple sugar in your own backyard. Visit the sugar bush to see the tapped trees, collect the sap and learn how to boil the sap down like Colonial Americans. You'll also sample the delicious homemade syrup, sugar on snow taffy and pure maple sugar. All ages are welcome to this free event.
