Step into a world of spine-tingling, spooky fun at City Museum's one-of-a-kind Halloween festival: Fright at the Museum. Prepare to be amazed as you embark on a journey through a realm of oddities and curiosities that will leave you and your family both thrilled and captivated. 

See special effects, the Theatre of the Odd, Circus Harmony performers (Saturdays and Sundays), multiple exhibits like the Mingo Monster Mash, Spinderella's Sac, Web Town, the Skeleton's Ball, and lots more. 

Not ready for the big scares? Visit the Haunt-ish House at Healthworks Kids' Museum, which is designed to be perfect for Halloween lovers who want all the un-boo-lievable fun without the scary part.

The Edwardsville Children's Museum (ECM) invites the community to get their first look – and first listen – of “Stories of the Nickel Plate” during a special opening event from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The day includes free admission to ECM and Nickel Plate Station and children’s train rides around the ECM campus.

Hop, crawl or slither over to Play Street Museum for a visit with Serengeti Steve and The Reptile Experience. Kids will have play time in the museum as well as a fun, interactive show featuring live reptiles.

Come out to beautiful and spooky Babler State Park for Halloween family fun like no other experience you'll find! Take a walk down the "terrifying trail" that will take you through multiple haunted cabins. Stay for some Halloween-themed crafts and complete the experience by adding on a hotdog meal and s'mores?

Children 12 and under can participate in trick or treating, pumpkin decorating, a balloon artist, festive Halloween music, a costume contest and more.

The Catbus is now boarding! The October First Friday at the Saint Louis Science Center will feature all things Studio Ghibli! Catch a screening of the beloved Studio Ghibli films Kiki's Delivery Service or My Neighbor Totoro in the OMNIMAX Theater. Explore the themes and science often used by Hayao Miyazaki from flight to environmental sustainability. Test your trivia knowledge, engage in educational activities, play the building-wide game - there will be so much to do!

At Great Green Adventures: I Spy Fall, kids will explore the Missouri Botanical Garden after the leaves have fallen and search the Garden for other signs of fall.

Whether by wind, water or animal fur, seeds are on the move this time of year. Visit Great Green Adventures at the Missouri Botanical Garden to explore seeds big and small. 

This is the time of year when birds begin to migrate. At Great Green Adventures, kids will discover what other animals migrate.

Families will work together with a GPS unit to find trick or treat locations around the Babler Outdoor Education Center. There will be candy and prizes at each location. Registration is required.

Indulge in nature and experience a day outdoors with your little one as you engage in activities that will help you build your "outdoor toolbox," including a short hike/storybook walk, and more on the beautiful grounds of Babler State Park. 

New this season, Teaching in Room 9 takes learning beyond the classroom as viewers discover our region's resources. Children will explore the coloring wall at the Missouri History Museum, learn about dinosaurs at the Saint Louis Science Center, and experience African art and mummies at the Saint Louis Art Museum, just to name a few. 

Ruh-roh! Scooby-Doo and the gang invite families to solve a gem of a mystery at the SCOOBY-DOO! Mansion Mayhem exhibit at The Magic House. This immersive experience allows families to analyze clues and put their problem-solving skills to the test.

This playtime session is designed to ignite the joy of unstructured play, allowing kids to immerse themselves in the tactile and imaginative realm of their slimy creations. Each participant will take home their custom-crafted construction slime.

Catch the Pixar animated classic A Bug's Life at this outdoor movie night for the whole family. In addition to the movie, families can enjoy hours of fun with steel drummers, crafts, glow necklaces and food trucks prior to the movie.
