This Mother’s Day weekend, four tiny babies are going to take on
Well, at least at your local theater.
On May 7, one of the movies I’ve been looking forward to all year finally reaches its due date when Babies, the new documentary from filmmaker Thomas Balmès, arrives at the Tivoli Theatre and Frontenac Cinema.
Babies follows the lives of four newborns – Ponijao of Namibia, Bayar of Mongolia, Mari of Japan and Hattie of the United States – from the moment they enter the world. Between first words, first steps and first foods, each of their families welcomes you into their home to truly experience the challenges and miracles of a child’s first year.
To catch a sneak peek at this touching and funny film, check out the Babies Web site for the complete theatrical trailer and adorable clips of each mini-superstar. But beware – it’s so unbelievably cute your husband might just grow his own set of ovaries.
