Support breastmilk donation in the St. Louis area by participating in the Milk Donor
Dash, a 5K, 1 mile and kids race to raise money for the Milk Bank. The organizers hope to make it easier for St. Louis-area families with extra milk to know they can share the milk with other babies, especially those who are critically ill, who are given priority. They hope that eventually there will be enough donated milk that any family that both needs and wants to provide their baby with donated milk will have that option.
The Milk Donor Dash will be held in Maplewood and includes lots of kids' activities, like story and craft time, and costumed charaters, as well as the kids' fun run. There will also be dance, self-defense and kickboxing demonstrations for adults.
The Milk Donor Dash kicks off at 7:30 a.m. and festivities end in the early afternoon.
