Meet Bestselling Young Adult Adventure Author Ridley Pearson

Young fans of the popular Starcatchers and Kingdom Keepers book series by bestselling adventure writer (and St. Louis resident) Ridley Pearson will have an opportunity to spend an evening with the author at a special Read St. Louis event at the St. Louis Public Library's Schlafly Branch on April 15.

Pearson will read from and discuss his new book, Kingdom Keepers III: Disney In Shadows, the third installment in his adventure series for young adults set inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Following a question-and-answer session, Pearson will sign books for young fans. Left Bank Books will be on hand selling copies of Kingdom Keepers III: Disney In Shadows, which follows the five teen characters, Finn, Philby, Willa, Charlene and Maybeck as they search to find Wayne, their mentor and head Imagineer, who has mysteriously gone missing.

Pearson – also a successful adult crime novelist – has three other book series for young adults, including the popular Starcatcher series. After his daughter asked him how Peter Pan met Captain Hook, Pearson teamed up with his long-time friend, humorist Dave Barry, to co-author Peter and the Starcatchers, a prequel to Peter Pan, published by Disney. Pearson and Barry collaborated on three additional prequels, Peter and the Shadow Thieves, Peter and the Secret of Rundoon and Peter and the Sword of Mercy.

The Ridley Pearson reading is one of a series of author events that are part of the Read St. Louis community-wide initiative developed by St. Louis County and St. Louis Public Libraries to encourage St. Louisans to read and discuss books. For more information, visit www.readstlouis.org.
