Is your child's piggy bank a bit empty lately? Maybe those summer lemonade stands didn't quite turn the profit he or she had expected. Or perhaps your little one is looking for a way to raise funds for a favorite charity or cause by selling some of their gently used toys, books or games. If so, The Magic House has just the opportunity your little entrepreneur is looking for.
Enterprising kids age 16 and younger are invited to sell their handmade craft items, outgrown toys, books, baseball cards and games at the museum's annual Kids' Flea Market on Sunday, September 22. Not only is this a great opportunity for kids to make their own money, but they can also earn extra points by cleaning out their rooms!
The Kids' Flea Market is open to the public for shopping too, so you can pick up some gently used toys, games, and other items at bargain prices. If your child or children would like to participate, the registration fee is $15 per table and kids keep the profits they make at the event.
The Kids' Flea Market will take place at Kirkwood School District's Nipher Middle School track located next to The Magic House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.
The Magic House is located at 516 S. Kirkwood Road, one mile north of Highway 44 in downtown Kirkwood. To learn more or sign up, go to www.magichouse.org
