Summer Camps with Openings in Late July and Early August

Summer isn't over yet and neither is summer camp. Though many camps are full or are no longer offering sessions in Late July and the early weeks of August, we found more than a few options for parents still looking for day camps to keep their kids busy as summer winds down.

YMCA of St. Louis

The YMCA of St. Louis offers camps at 16 branch locations across the St. Louis metro area, with sessions running through August 7. These classic day camps keep kids active all day, and before- and after-care are offered in most locations. In addition to traditional day camps, you'll find unique opportunities, such as Power Scholars Summer School offered through July 31 at Marian Middle School near Tower Grove Park.

Find your branch and camp opportunities at ymcastlouis.org, where you can register online too.

Some camp that still have openings for July 27-31 include Dinosaur Camp and Spy Camp for grades 1-2; Storybook Science and There's No Place Like Space for ages 4-6; and Gaming Lab for grades 7-10. For July 20-14, you'll find openings in Scary Science: Aliens to Zombies for grades 5-6; Get Unplugged and Electrify and Energize for grades 3-4; and Animal Mysteries for ages 4-6, as well as several other camps in other age categories.
