Weekend Egg Hunts for March 26-27
This weekend might be the biggest for your Easter egg hunting adventures all across the St. Louis area. Time to grab the kids' baskets and get ready to find eggs, meet the bunny, pet some baby animals, decorate some eggs and lots more.
The fun starts on Friday with the Egg Scavenger Hunt at Shaw Nature Reserve. Families with kids ages 3 to 10 will learn about all kinds of eggs - bird eggs, frog eggs, turtle eggs and more and they dye an egg from natural materials to take home. One adult per child is required. Reservations are also required. Cost is $7 for members of the Missouri Botanical Garden and Shaw Nature Reserve passholders, and $9 for the general public. Springtime Village at Purina Farms.
This celebration of all things Spring continues through Sunday at Purina Farms. From a petting area with bunnies, piglets and chicks to photos with Peter Cottontail, there’s something for everyone. Plus, it’s free! If it’s an egg hunt you’re after, visit on Saturday, March 26 for the Egg-citing Egg Hunts at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Egg hunts are free for kids 2 and under, $10 for children 3-12. Get Hopping Easter Egg Hunt in Des Peres Park
Kids ages 3-6 can meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and pose for photos at the Get Hopping Easter Egg Hunt in Des Peres Park on Saturday, March 26. Hunt for a Cure in Queeny Park
Enjoy your favorite Easter activities and hunt for a cure for diseases like leukemia and lymphoma at the 6th annual Hunt for a Cure in Queeny Park on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Over 70,000 eggs will be hidden, the LLS Bunny will arrive via helicopter, and there will be face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, informational booths and even appearances from well-loved nursery rhyme characters. Admission is $10/family; family passes can be purchased online.
Gateway Grizzlies Egg Hunt
The Gateway Grizzlies will host their 14th annual free Easter Egg Hunt for families throughout the Metro East and Southwestern Illinois at GCS Ballpark on Saturday, March 26. Concessions will be open, and you can expect to see the Easter Bunny, Izzy the Grizzlie, Lizzy the Polar Bear and more. Gates open at 9 a.m., and egg hunting – which is divided into age groups – begins at 9:30 a.m. This also marks the first day you can pick up season tickets and purchase single game tickets for the 2016 season. Breakfast with the Bunny and Easter Egg-citement at Eckert’s
Families can always find fun at Eckert’s, and the Easter season is no exception. Enjoy a hearty family-style meal at the Belleville Country Restaurant at Breakfast with the Bunny, and stay for egg hunts, face painting, baby chicks and more at Easter Egg-citement. The Annual Egg Roll at The Magic House
The Easter Egg Roll at the White House has been an annual tradition since 1898, and here in St. Louis we have our own version – The Annual Egg Roll at The Magic House! On Monday, March 27, kids ages 12 and under are invited to participate in an “egg-citing” race, where they will use large spoon to roll eggs across the front lawn of The Magic House. Underwater Egg Hunt
Kids ages 8-15 can dive into this underwater egg hunt and win some awesome prizes and candy if they find the lucky eggs. After the hunt, there will be plenty of time for swimming and listen to favorite tunes poolside. Saturday, March 26 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at The Point in Ballwin. Pre-registration is required. Enrichment Eggstravaganza at the Saint Louis Zoo
Everyone likes a treat, and the animals at the Zoo are no exception! Visitors can watch these special "egg hunts" and learn about their favorite animals. The enrichment team at the Saint Louis Zoo has planned special "egg hunts" for animals and families are invited to watch.
Keepers, curators and volunteers at the Zoo plan enrichment activities for the animals throughout the year as a way to make life more interesting for the animals. The animals are encouraged to forage for food, invent "toys" out of everyday items, explore with new exhibit "furniture" such as logs and vines, or even sniff new scents. Enrichment activities are fun for the animals, visitors and the keepers. Kids' enrichment activities will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Schnuck Family Plaza. Easter Palooza Flashlight Egg Hunt
Even the Easter Bunny loves a nighttime egg hunt! This flashlight egg hunt, for ages 2 and up, features 20,000 stuffed eggs, a cupcake truck, face painting, inflatables, giveaways and raffles, and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. Ages 2-10 will hunt at 7 p.m. and ages 11 and up will hunt at 7:45. Giveaways and raffles include Beats headphones, a Playstation 4, iTunes gift cards, a bicycle, iPad Mini and more. Bring your own flashlights and Easter basket or bag. The hunt is sponsored by Endurance Church and held at Rockwood Summit High School on Saturday. Free. No reservations required. Easter Egg Hunt at Big Joel’s Safari
The 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt at Big Joel’s Safari will take place on Saturday, which also happens to be opening day for the season. The park will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with egg hunts taking place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for kids 0-5 and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for kids 6-10. Egg hunts are free with paid admission, but be sure to arrive well in advance of the scheduled start time.
Easter Egg Scramble
Children age 2 to 10 are invited to bring a basket, hunt eggs and meet the Easter Bunny at this annual egg hunt in Whitecliff Park in Crestwood on Saturday. Cost per child for Crestwood residents is $2, and $4 for non-residents. Pre-registration is required. More information: cityofcrestwood.org
Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt
Bring the kids to the Easter Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt at the Leo Wilson Shelter and playground where they'll hunt for eggs, prizes and candy. Easter Egg Hunt at Watson Trail Park
The annual City of Sunset Hills Easter Egg Hunt will be held Sunday, March 27 and is open to kids up to age 10. Children will be divided into three age groups: 1-3; 4-6; and 7-10. Dardenne Prairie Easter Egg Hunt
Grab your baskets and get ready to collect some eggs at the City of Dardeene Prairie's annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Hunts will be divided by age and begin at 10 a.m. for kids in the 0-2 and 3-4 age groups. Ages 5-6 and 7-8 will hunt shortly after. There will be special eggs that will win children prizes, and the Easter Bunny will also be on hand, so bring your cameras for photo opps!On the same day as the hunt (March 26), the city will recognize Earth Day and Arbor Day. Families can visit the celebration between 9 and 11 a.m. and make environmentally friendly crafts and pick up a free tree seedling (one per family). Egg Hunt at St. Vincent Community Center
Celebrate the Easter holiday with an egg hunt for kids at the St. Vincent Comminity Center. This third annual egg hunt, set for Saturday, March 26, is for kids ages 4-8 years old and features candy baskets and prizes for first, second and third place winners. Easter Egg Hunt at Swing Around Fun Town
Kids ages 3-12 can hunt for eggs and take part in lots of other fun activities at the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Swing Around Fun Town in Fenton on Saturday. The egg hunt takes place from 8:45 to 10 a.m. Kids can will prizes, including candy, toys and arcade cards. Food, refreshments and a mimosa bar for the grown ups will be provided.
