art for kids in St. Louis

Families are invited to the Saint Louis Art Museum on Sunday afternoon to participate in free hands-on art activities with fun themes and to explore the galleries. Each Family Sunday focuses on a different family-friendly theme. 

Your baby can paint and scribble with other babies and create a big fun mess at the Baby Art Crawl. This free, one-hour event is sponsored by the St. Louis County Library.

Kids Art Night Out at Yucandu Art Studio features a new creative project each month, ranging from mosaics, to collage, printmaking, glitter, clay and more.

Do you need a creative activity for your kids on a day when school's out? Yucandu Art Studio offers No-School Workshops for kids in grades kindergarten through 5th.

Visit the World Chess Hall of Fame for the Origami Animal Workshop, where your family can learn to make animals from origami paper. All supplies are provided. 

Visit Laumeier Sculpture Park to learn about its summer camps, workshops, and summer programs for kids teens. The Free Family Open House allows interested families to tour Laumeier's education spaces and meet instructors. Enjoy light refreshments, sign up for camps, learn about the Little Buds Art & Nature Program for ages 3-6 and lots more. 

Get in touch with your contemporary side and spend the afternoon at Laumeier Sculpture Park constructing a unique tree sculpture. Learn how to attach, twist and alter upcycled and found materials into a festive, fabulous masterpiece to admire for holiday seasons to come.
