Saturday in the Park includes food trucks, entertainment and a brand new playground to explore!

Take your kids to enjoy daytime solar telescope viewing at the McDonnell Planetarium during the run up to the April 8 total solar eclipse. A variety of solar telescopes and safe viewing techniques are used to provide guests safe views of the Sun, including the ability to see features like sunspots and solar prominences.

Reignite the spark of hope with Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi as our heroes brave the relentless pursuit of the First Order. Journey alongside Rey as she seeks the galaxy's last hope, the legendary Luke Skywalker. Experience the thrill, the fear, the anticipation, as the fate of the Resistance hangs in the balance. Get swept away into the Skywalker saga like never before as your St. Louis Symphony Orchestra breathes new life into John Williams’ Academy Award–nominated score, performed live along with the film.

Celebrate Laumeier’s Earth Day Week by visiting the Park with a family member and getting creative! Spend time with a family member learning how to build a bee hotel that can be filled with hollow tubes, nesting blocks and natural materials that will keep solitary bees warm during the winter months. 

Kick off this evening egg hunt with a pizza party, followed by a flashlight dance party, and then an adventurous egg hunt in Kirkwood Park under the night sky. 

Get your family together and play some themed bingo! Bring your own food and drinks. Light refreshments will be provided. Prizes will be awarded to bingo winners.
