Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. The classic story is of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
This timeless classic is being performed live on stage on select afternoons and evenings Nov. 30 - Dec. 9 by students of STAGES Performing Arts. It's perfect for all ages. Tickets are $12-$15. At the Kent Center for the Theatre Arts in Chesterfield.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
