
Play Dates with the Contemporary Art Museum are free and open to all. Play Dates follow a monthly theme that invites hands-on art making, and safe, creative play. Plus, you'll enjoy performances from guest artists that get everybody moving!
Each month, families with children of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this in-person, one-hour event.
Play Dates start at 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Prior registration is strongly encouraged due to limited capacity. Walk-ins will be welcomed based on limited capacity.

Visit the James S. McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park and see a star show to experience the largest artificial sky in the Western Hemisphere. Star shows are lead LIVE by one of the Planetarium's educators, creating a new and tailored experience for every audience.

See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
Explore songs, finger plays, music and more during this Music & Movement class for ages 0-6. Some sessions are held in person at various branches of the St. Louis County Library. Some sessions are virtual.
The Magic House, MADE for Kids will be hosting an exhibit of its own as TapeScape, an innovative playscape made almost entirely out of packing tape, opens for play on June 2 in the makerspace.
