This workshop is all about exploring the science of how stuff works.

LouWOW is a new festival featuring restaurant vendors and live bands that were originally scheduled to be a part of the cancelled LouFest. This day of music, food and refreshments is free to attend for all ages.

The newest film at the Saint Louis Science Center's OMNIMAX Theater is an epic journey to far Northern Australia through some of the wildest landscapes on Earth. 

Your little ones will get a hands-on, up-close look at many community vehicles, including a school bus, construction trucks, an RV, emergency vehicles and utility trucks at this event sponsored by Rockwood Parents as Teachers and open to all.

Papa and Jackie Wright will delight your family with this puppet show adaptation of Red Riding Hood. A puppet-making workshop will follow the show.

In addition to non-stop live music, there will be great food, lots of shopping from local vendors, face painting, balloon artists, juggling and arts & crafts for kids. 

When Pete the Cat gets caught rocking out after bedtime, the cat-catcher sends him to live with the biddle family to learn his manners, and boy are they square! See how Pete turns out to be the perfect pet for this family who really needs a groovy cat in their lives in this live performance.  

At this free workshop, kids will make some incredible, edible masterpieces with food items.

Activities include pony rides, animals for petting, apple picking, a pumpkin jumping pad, train rides and festival foods. 

Kids ages 7-11 can create a map of their world, real or imagined at this free class.

This class teaches children how to draw the popular Angry Birds characters with step-by-step instructions.

Adventure awaits at Forever Forest, a nationally traveling exhibit that explores how we use the forest to live, work, and play in harmony. Kids can help construct a mini home by adding wood siding, flooring and more; explore a tree-top climber, and climb aboard a realistic kid-sized replica of a Union Pacific train engine. 

It's like story hour but with kid-friendly comics! Apotheosis Comics is breaking out the reading rug and picking the most fun book of the week to read for this interactive, free story time which is followed by classic Saturday morning cartoons. 

Bring your family, friends and neighbors to the indoor pool at The Lodge Des Peres and enjoy a family movie while you float in the tubes or just play in the water.

Explore the magnificent world of bugs and butterflies and learn about plant and animals relationships at this Butterfly House Adventure. Designed for kids ages 6 to 12, this class includes a take-home craft and time for families to connect with nature. Walk-ins are welcome.
