Adventure awaits at Forever Forest, a nationally traveling exhibit that explores how we use the forest to live, work, and play in harmony. Kids can help construct a mini home by adding wood siding, flooring and more; explore a tree-top climber, and climb aboard a realistic kid-sized replica of a Union Pacific train engine. 

It's like story hour but with kid-friendly comics! Apotheosis Comics is breaking out the reading rug and picking the most fun book of the week to read for this interactive, free story time which is followed by classic Saturday morning cartoons. 

Bring your family, friends and neighbors to the indoor pool at The Lodge Des Peres and enjoy a family movie while you float in the tubes or just play in the water.

Explore the magnificent world of bugs and butterflies and learn about plant and animals relationships at this Butterfly House Adventure. Designed for kids ages 6 to 12, this class includes a take-home craft and time for families to connect with nature. Walk-ins are welcome. 

Escape to the farm for a fun filled day in the GROW gallery at the Saint Louis Science Center. Hang out with a dairy cow, rabbits, sheep, goats and chickens, and take part in fun activities for all ages.

Edie's Fairytale Theater presents a free performance of The Three Little Pigs, a musical geared to children ages 2-10 and their families.

Dress up for the costume contest, have snacks and drinks, and make Harry Potter-inspired pottery and canvases. 

Kids will have a great time learning all about being superheros. They'll play games, make crafts and have a fun superhero dinner too. 

Hitch up the wagons and head out to Prairie Day at Shaw Nature Reserve for this fun-filled family event. 

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the World Bird Sanctuary, live animal shows, a farmers marker, straw maze, kids crafts, Butterfly House programs and more at this free open house.

The annual Manchester Arts Festival is a free outdoor festival that features art booths, hands-on art making stations, a storytelling and poetry grove, music pavilion and food and refreshments and more.

WeatherReady Fest is about kids having fun while learning basic weather forecasting concepts through hands-on activities and taking part in demonstrations. They'll also get to meet Fredbird and Nick Walker, the Weather Dude from The Weather Channel.
