Explore the amazing world of backyard insects in their own habitat at The Butterfly House Bug Hunt. Children can play exciting games and make crafts to take home as well as capture real bugs (which will be released at the end of the hunts).
Adults will learn how to attract butterflies to their gardens and how to build native bee houses.
The Bug Hunt will be led by staff entomologists in Faust Park, which surrounds the Butterfly House. Field sessions will be ongoing throughout the day with staff on hand to identify the bugs you catch. For children ages 2 and up and their families.
The Bug Hunt runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and no registration is required. Included with regular admission.
