Play Date Theater presents The Last Cupcake, the story of a baker in danger of losing his bakery. While he frantically bakes enough cupcakes to keep his business open, he has to contend with a very demanding birthday boy and some magically-appearing fairy tale characters. Worst of all, one of his cupcakes comes to life and starts all sorts of trouble!
Play Date Theater is a great way to introduce young children to the art of theater. Kids learn theater etiquette while being entertained by performers who understand the interests and abilities of young children. The show includes audience participation and an opportunity to meet the performers.
The Last Cupcake is entertaining for all ages, but is geared toward children preschool age through grade 2. Presented by Shakespeare Festival St. Louis.
Free. 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the Central Library Auditorium.
