Join in on Gateway to the Stars for some virtual stargazing and to learn about lunar exploration from members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society. At Gateway to the Stars, Washington University scientist Dr. Jeffrey Gillis-Davis will present "Standing on the Shoulders of Apollo 15: Past & Future Lunar Exploration." This will be immediately followed by virtial stargazing at the Gateway Arch, led by St. Louis Astronomical Society member John Strebeck, featuring a tour of the late summer skies using the Stellarium program.
Finally, video feeds of the Moon and other objects will be provided by SLAS members. Gateway to the Stars in free and will be live streamed on Facebook at facebook.com/stlastro. Tune in on Saturday, August 22 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Hosted online by the Gateway Arch National Park.
