Get ready for a race with the fast hare and determined tortoise! Set to Beethoven, Rossini, Elgar, and Dvořák, the SLSO musicians accompany children as they bring this classic tale, The Tortoise and the Hare, to life. Adapted from Alison Ritchie's book, illustrated by Nahta Nój.
The Tortoise and the Hare will be performed on Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Concert Hall. It is most enjoyed by ages 3-6 and their grownups. Pre-concert activities begin 30 minutes prior to each performance.
