Camp STLAG allows students to take art classes that develop their abilities and imagination as they push themselves beyond what they knew they were capable of achieving! This summer campers will explore new mediums and find their creativity in fast-paced 5-day sessions. Camp STLAG runs across 6 weeks through June and July! Camps are divided into three age groups, Budding Artists (ages 6-9), Young Artists (ages 10-13), and Teen Intensives (ages 14-18).
Budding Artist Camps (ages 6-9, Mon - Fri, 10 am-2 pm) emphasize having fun while putting effort into a piece they can be proud of. Each camp is themed, and includes exploration of different materials and techniques. Camp ends with an art show for families and guests to enjoy.
Young Artist Camps (ages 10-13, Mon - Fri, 10 am-2 pm) give students the chance to develop their skills in drawing and painting from life and their imagination as they push themselves beyond what they knew they were capable of achieving. Camp ends with an art show for families and guests to enjoy.
Teen Intensive camps (ages 14-18, Mon - Fri, 3 pm-5:30 pm) are perfect for high school students ready to take their artwork to the next level or strengthen their portfolio for college applications. Each camp is taught by experienced teaching artists who enjoy working with all types of students, from those just beginning their artistic journey to more experienced young artists who want to hone their skills.

It explores what would happen if animals at the Saint Louis Zoo put on their own Shakespearean performance after zookeepers go home for the night. The show stage and seating area is designed as an enchanting version of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre within the Zoo's Historic Hill area. "Romeo & Zooliet" is produced as a partnership of the Saint Louis Zoo and the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival. The production features dazzling animal puppetry by world-renowned Michael Curry Design, known for its work on Broadway's "The Lion King" and "Frozen," as well as Olympic and Super Bowl ceremonies.
