This weekly celebration takes place in the shadow of the Gateway Arch every Thursday through August 28. Storytime in the Commons is back for another season of fun character visits and outdoor storytimes. At this storytime, explore the fascinating world of science and nature. At Storytime in the Commons: Be My Neighbor Day, kids will learn about being a caring neighbor, meet neighborhood helpers from the St. Louis Public Library and St. Louis Fire Department, and have the opportunity to get their picture taken with Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina from the PBS Kids series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

Get ready for high-gear excitement at Tractor Days at Eckert Farms! The plaza will be packed with farm machinery for kids and grown-ups to explore up close. Kids can see, touch and even sit in the driver's seats! Little farmers can enjoy tractor-themed sipper cups filled with farm-fresh sweet cider and take home tractor tattoos, stickers and coloring sheets.

Maryville University’s Center for Access and Achievement is hosting the STEM Playful Learning Workshop — a hands-on, research-informed professional development experience designed to help educators bring science, technology, engineering, and math to life in the classroom.

Baby and Me is an educational and fun event presented in collaboration with the St. Louis Breastfeeding Coalition. Guests and their babies are invited to participate in relaxing, informational sessions, craft creations, baby-and-me yoga, puppet shows, story times, and more.

Visit Laumeier Sculpture Park to learn about its summer camps, workshops, and summer programs for kids teens. The 4th of July Festival kicks off at 10 a.m. with a parade. The Family Fun Zone, which features games, crafts, a balloon artist, petting zoo, and more, is open from noon to 7 p.m. There will also be food vendors and live entertainment. The fireworks show kicks off at dusk.

After you've created your masterpiece, you and your family can read, socialize, play chess and other board games, or continue to get creative with the arts and crafts supplies.
